The Athena Standard Bore cylinder kit for Yamaha YZ 85 is designed for engine top-end rebuilding while maintaining the standard 47.50 mm bore and original 85 cc displacement. Engineered in Italy by Athena's research and development department, it provides performance equivalent to original components, high reliability and excellent wear resistance.

The lightweight aluminum cylinder features Athena's Motor-Nicksil nickel-silicon coating, developed to reduce friction, promote smooth piston movement and improve resistance to wear. The piston is also designed to minimize friction during engine operation.

The kit includes the cylinder, cylinder head with central combustion chamber dome, complete piston with piston pin and rings, and the necessary gaskets. All components are developed to withstand high temperatures, pressures and mechanical stresses and undergo rigorous testing by Athena. Installation requires no modifications to the engine crankcase.
